Section 508 Accessibility Requirements Procedure

 
To ensure that 2-1-1 Big Bend, Inc. meets or exceeds the requirements of the 1998 Amendment to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, we continually review our website and modify pages to remove accessibility problems for people with disabilities.

The documents on our website are in many formats, the majority of which are HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and PDF (Portable Document Format).  In creating website documents we follow Section 508 standards and use the WAVE Web Accessibility Tool (http://wave.webaim.org/) to test our website.  

The website files are accessible to people with vision or mobility impairments who use screen reading software or other assistive technology.  Depending on the file formatting, the assistive technology used, and the page layout, however, unforeseen circumstances occur and a document may experience problems.
